Program Highlights
The photo gallery exhibits examples of our community partnerships. SoHarlem also conducted a number of public programs. Such events focused on historic Harlem traditions including the written word to foster greater recognition for contemporary writers and scholars at the forefront of cultural, historical and literary issues. SoHarlem's goal was to bring writers into direct contact with neighborhood residents and the larger global community, to open searching dialogues and to serve as a center in Harlem for launching creative new work.
